About McNairy Bush Hogging
We’re a McNairy County-based bush hogging operation. Locally owned, locally crewed, and built around the idea that the most important thing a rural-services operator can do is actually answer the phone, show up when promised, and bring the right equipment for the job.

What We Do
We bush hog. Overgrown fields, fence lines, pasture reclamation, food plots, pond banks, roadside cuts, and commercial parcel maintenance. We run tractor-mounted rotary cutters sized for jobs a residential mower can’t touch — head-high briars, multi-year regrowth, small saplings, the kind of rough ground that needs a real machine.
How We Work
Every job starts with a free written quote. You tell us what you’re working with, we walk the property (or look at photos), we recommend a plan and a pass count, and we put the price in writing before any tractor rolls. No surprise charges for “that bonus acre” we found mid-job, no high-pressure sales.
If you’ve ever called a bush-hog guy and never heard back, or had a job grow halfway through, or watched someone catch a fence wire and not say anything about it — you know why we work this way. We’d rather build a long-term relationship with people who call us back every year than win one inflated job and lose the customer.
Local Knowledge Matters
Bush hogging is deeply local work. The growth out near Ramer is different from the growth up in Bethel Springs. The ground around Michie holds water longer than the higher ground out toward Adamsville. We’ve worked fields of every size and condition in McNairy County. When you describe a property by road and rough acreage, we usually know the area, the typical growth there, and whether a tractor and trailer can get in without trouble.
One Pass or Two?
This is the most common question and the most important one. A property that was cut last year and just needs an annual pass is a one-pass job. A property that hasn’t been cut in 3+ years usually needs two passes a few weeks apart — the first to knock the canopy down, the second to chop the windrow flat and catch the regrowth. We tell you straight which one you’ve actually got, even when the smaller job is what we’d rather sell you.
Insured and Honest About Risks
We carry general liability insurance and we’ll walk every property with you before we start. Tall growth hides things — t-posts, sprinkler heads, septic lids, downed wire, surveyor stakes, sometimes whole vehicles. Anything we find on the walk gets flagged and avoided. Anything we hit by surprise, we tell you about immediately and we work out the fix together. That’s how we’d want to be treated, and that’s how we do it.
Where We Serve
All of McNairy County: Selmer, Adamsville, Bethel Springs, Ramer, Michie, Stantonville, Milledgeville, Eastview, Finger, Guys, and the rural roads between them. We sometimes work in adjacent Hardin, Chester, Hardeman, and Tishomingo (MS) counties when the route works.
