Free Bush Hogging Quotes
Every field, every fence line, every parcel is a little different. So every quote we give is custom — and free. Here’s how we figure a fair price for your job.
Why We Don’t Publish a Price List
You won’t find a flat per-acre or per-hour rate on this page, and there’s a good reason. Bush hog pricing depends on how thick the growth is, how long it’s been since the last cut, whether it’s a one-pass annual or a multi-pass reclamation, what access looks like, and what’s hidden in the brush. A clean annual cut on familiar ground prices very differently from a three-year reclamation full of saplings and old fence. Posting a single headline rate would mislead one way or the other.
So we do the next-best thing: we walk the property (or look at photos), recommend a plan, and give you a written quote. Free, no obligation, no pressure.
What Affects the Price
- Growth density and height — the biggest variable. Annual maintenance vs. multi-year reclamation can be 3–5x different per acre.
- One pass vs. two — reclamation almost always needs two passes a few weeks apart; we tell you upfront
- Acreage and shape — per-acre prices come down on bigger contiguous jobs; small irregular patches with lots of turning cost more per acre
- Access — can a tractor and trailer get in, do gates need widening, is the ground firm enough, is there a route that doesn’t cross soft spots
- Terrain — flat hayfields are quick; side slopes, ditches, and uneven ground are slower
- Hidden hazards — old t-posts, rocks bigger than fist-size, downed wire all slow the cut
- Cleanup expectations — rough-mowed-and-left vs. closer chop with windrows broken up
- Recurring vs. one-off — annual or seasonal schedules cost noticeably less per visit
What to Expect From a Quote
- You call or message us. Tell us roughly where the property is, how big, and what shape it’s in.
- We walk it or look at photos. For nearby properties, a walk is fastest. For absentee owners or rougher jobs, a few clear photos plus a sat-view link works.
- We recommend a plan. One pass or two? Single trip or staged over a few weeks? Sometimes we’ll suggest a cheaper approach than what you asked for.
- We give a written quote. Scope, pass count, access plan, price, and target window — itemized.
- You decide. No pressure either way.
- We schedule the job. Most routine work, 1–2 weeks out. Bigger reclamation, 2–4 weeks.
How We Handle Payment
For typical jobs, payment is due on completion. For multi-pass reclamation, we usually take half at scheduling and balance on completion of the final pass. For commercial accounts and recurring contracts, we run net-30 invoicing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
Recurring & Commercial Accounts
For property managers, banks, utility companies, churches, HOAs, and local government, we set up annual contracts with scheduled visits and net-30 billing. Here’s our commercial services page.
